A partnership of campus and community
Voices of Southern Kentucky (formerly known as the Southern Kentucky Choral Society) brings together WKU students and members of the greater SOKY community (teachers, business owners, mechanics, homemakers, lawyers, administrators, service workers, office workers and doctors alike) to rehearse and perform works for chorus and orchestra several times a year.
Led by Artistic Director Dr. Paul Hondorp, Director of Choral Activities at Western Kentucky University since 2003, the choir performs primarily here at home, and has twice taken the stage at Carnegie Hall: Mozart’s Requiem (2017) and Vaughan Williams’ Dona Nobis Pacem (2019). Our singers will return to Carnegie Hall in June 2027.
