A partnership of campus and community
dedicated to the choral art

The Southern Kentucky Choral Society is a cross-section of the greater SOKY community that rehearses and performs works for chorus and orchestra several times a year.    Comprised in part of WKU students and in part of members from the greater community – teachers, business owners, mechanics, homemakers, lawyers, administrators, service workers, office workers and doctors alike – we gather to sing, share, grow, and present meaningful works of art…and make friends in the process.

Though the SOKY Choral Society primarily performs locally, they have twice traveled to Carnegie Hall, to participate in productions of Mozart’s Requiem (2017) and Vaughan Williams’ Dona Nobis Pacem (2019). The latter was under the direction of Artistic Director Paul Hondorp.

Rehearsals are held on Monday nights from 7-9 pm, in the Music Hall at WKU.
